Unique Day Out – UK Pro Surf Tour At Surf Snowdonia, 24th October Half Term, Free Event

If you are looking for a unique day out, the UK Pro Surf Tour sees the UK’s best surfers travelling the length and breadth of the country –  from Cornwall to as far north as Thurso in Scotland – in search of the best waves. The tour takes place between April and November each year.

It will take place at Surf Snowdonia on October 24, 2016, when the UK’s top male, female and junior surfers will compete in a knock-out competition format for the first ever Surf Snowdonia Pro Surf Challenge.

Surf Snowdonia Adventure Parc is a revolutionary world-first inland surf lagoon, it has a powerful head-high wave that rises at the centre of the lagoon for more than 150 metres.

The 300-metre surf lagoon is the main attraction but there’s loads of other activities, from adrenalin thrills & spills on the Crash and Splash lagoon to SUP safaris, kayaking and kiddies soft play.

The Surf Snowdonia Pro Surf Challenge will be an all-day event which will take place on the first Monday of the UK half term school holiday.

Entry to watch the event, has been sponsored by Conwy Council, will be free of charge.

There will be indoor as well as outdoor seated and standing viewing areas, and free parking on site. Refreshments and snacks will be available all day at our surf-side restaurant, deli and bar.

We visited Surf Snowdonia in September 2015 to watch Red Bull unleashed surf competition, it was the world’s first ever stadium surfing event and it was truly a great day.

The sun was out, we had a spot right at the front so we had a good view, and I even got to high-five a couple of the surfers as they walked past as they completed the ride!
