Despite its hard-wearing qualities the core boot is made from a new softer rubber compound making it even more comfortable to wear. The durable Argyll sole has a wide zigzag construction for grip on rough or varied surface. This boot is named after Hunter s pioneering founder Henry Lee Norris who set up his rubber company in 1856. A reinforced panel has been inserted at the front of the boot to increase structure and support.

Henry Lee Norris after whom the boot is named founded the North British Rubber company in 1856 having arrived from New Jersey, USA in January with the specific intent of using a patent from Charles Goodyear for the manufacture of India-rubber overshoes and boots.
