In order to achieve such a lightweight but protective jacket Sportful utilise fabrics with an ultra fine denier. Each yarn is as fine as 7 denier, meaning that 1000m of yarn weighs less than one gram. The exceptionally small yarns are then woven incredibly tightly, providing complete windchill protection at an astonishingly low bulk. The fabric is also treated with a DWR water repellent finish that results in most of the rain running right off the surface. Feature packed constructionThe lack of weight doesn't mean a lack of practical features. The jacket is constructed with the lightest components and trim available, including a 12g zipper, lazer cut venting, reflectivity and screen printed graphics and logos. There is no shortage of comfort and performance features; 7 venting zones, mesh lining in the collar, wrist and waist elastic to keep the wind out. Finally the Hot Pack Jacket is cut for a close aerodynamic fit with no excess fabric….
