Midweek Western Horse Riding Adventure – Hampshire –

This Western horse riding experience is a full day equestrian adventure in the beautiful New Forest that gives you the chance to live the life of a cowboy… in the south of England! This is a perfect day out for animal lovers that gives you the chance not only to go horse riding, but to try your hand at all the other tasks that go along with it – caring for your trusty steed, tacking up, grooming, and much more. The day begins – like all good days should – with a bacon sarnie and a bit of a chat. You’ll meet your horse and have the chance to get to know it a little before you set off. The first part of the morning consists of fitting head collars, ‘tie-up’ and ‘tack-up’ (don’t worry – all of this will be explained and demonstrated!). After a quick cuppa, you’ll have a special ‘Western’ riding lesson, where you’ll learn the more relaxed style of riding. Beginners and regular riders who aren’t used to this style will have plenty of help and instruction from the expert instructors, and classes are run at a pace to suit everyone. You’ll have worked up a bit of an appetite by now, so it’s time for a proper cowboy’s lunch – a chicken and steak BBQ (with hay and water for your mount, of course)! After lunch, it’s time for a ride out into the beautiful New Forest where you will cross the peaceful plains, riding among wild ponies, their foals and cattle. If you’re very lucky, you might even spot a beautiful wild deer! This horse riding experience is a superb all-round introduction to horse riding in the western style, as well as horse care. If you’re looking for a fantastic experience gift for anyone over the age of 12 who loves horse riding or has always wanted to try it, this New Forest Western riding adventure is the perfect choice….
