The Weather is Hot But the Water is Cold! – Be Water Aware!

Did you know that drowning, a leading cause of accidental death in the UK, over 400 people die from drowning annually, with 62% of accidental drownings happen in inland water.

There’s some great advice from Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service – Water safety – to help stay safe and understand water dangers.

What to do if someone falls into deep water – Call 999 for help, and encourage the person in the water to try and float on their back.

Never, ever, enter the water to try and save someone. This usually ends up adding to the problem.
