New Zog Trail Launches for Families in England’s Forests

Building on the success of popular trails like the Gruffalo and Stick Man, Forestry Commission sites across England are introducing the Zog Trail, inspired by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s enchanting children’s book. Launched on January 30, 2023, this winter activity trail invites families to embark on a magical forest adventure.

Zog, the endearing yet slightly clumsy dragon from Dragon School, is the central character of the trail. Eager to earn a golden star, Zog navigates through dragon school learning crucial skills such as flying, roaring, breathing fire, and rescuing princesses. The Forestry Commission encourages children to join the forest classroom, mirroring Zog’s learning journey by exploring how animals fly, the sounds they make, and their prey-catching techniques.
